Given the rising death toll in the West African Countries, the Ebola Virus Disease is a growing concern.
The Ebola virus can spread through human to human transmission through a number of ways. Infection can occur from contact through infected bodily fluids, such as blood, secretions, and mucous membranes. The Ebola virus has an incubation period of 2-21 days, meaning that despite being infected, no symptoms can manifest for up to three weeks resulting in further spread through oblivious carriers.
We at SWA encourage everyone to take preventative measures as preparation is key in preventing further spread of any disease. Cleanliness is vital as most early stage diseases are most commonly spread through human to human transmission, as opposed to water or airborne transmission. Everyone, from an individual to a large business, is a factor in helping prevent the disease.
SWA may not be able to aid the Ebola efforts as much as the WHO Media Centre, but we do our part in helping take preventative measures. We maintain a safe, clean work environment without using abrasive chemicals. We can also help create the same environment catered to various needs of your business and facility.
